TOPIC:  When Things go Bad – What are the Options?

This seminar will provide an overview of options available and the processes involved when a company, its subsidiary, joint venture or client, encounters financial difficulties brought on by economic circumstances, fraud or dispute.

SPEAKERS: Mr Bruno Arboit, Managing Partner and  Mr Gwynn Hopkins, Partner of Zolfo Cooper.

Bruno Arboit is the Managing Partner of Zolfo Cooper’s China practice, a specialist business advisory firm. Mr Arboit has considerable experience in acting for both directors and creditors of companies facing financial difficulties and has undertaken numerous special investigations and business reviews involving the assessment of financial viability and the formulation of recovery strategies.  His work experience also includes providing expert opinion in shareholder disputes, valuations and fraud investigations.

Gwynn Hopkins is a Partner at Zolfo Cooper.  Mr Hopkins has worked as an insolvency practitioner on a wide range of local and cross-border insolvency and restructuring engagements and has considerable experience in the liquidation of international financial services companies, particularly those involving complex litigation or with contentious matters to resolve. He also takes non-insolvency roles, such as acting as a consultant or an appointed director or trustee, to assist distressed entities.
