TOPIC:  Capital Markets Transactions Best Practices

This seminar will cover four key discussion areas by Ashurst's speakers.

  • Managing a capital markets transaction as a Hong Kong-listed company, presented by Jonathan Hsui

  • Managing a 10b-5 process to access US capital, presented by Anna-Marie Slot

  • Managing derivatives transactions for bonds, presented by Christopher Whiteley

  • Managing disputes arising from capital markets transactions, presented by James Comber

SPEAKERS:

Jonathan Hsui, Partner.
Jonathan is in Ashurst's corporate team and specialises in initial public offerings and other equity capital market transactions, as well as pre-IPO investments and M&A. Jonathan's practice also includes advising on securities, corporate and compliance matters.


Stuart Robin, Partner.

Stuart is a partner of Ashurst LLP and registered foreign consultant (New York) based in Hong Kong. His practice is focused on capital markets transactions, particularly in the equity capital markets, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has considerable experience representing both issuers and underwriters across a broad range of product areas, including SEC-registered and global unregistered offerings.


Anna-Marie Slot, Partner.
Anna-Marie is in Ashurst's finance practice and is head of the High Yield group. She has extensive experience acting for banks and other companies in a wide range of corporate finance and securities transactions, including high-yield debt offerings, tender offers, debt buybacks, refinancings and numerous securities transactions.


Christopher Whiteley, Partner.
Christopher Whiteley is in Ashurst's finance practice and is Asia head of Securities and Derivatives. He specialises in structured finance, particularly "OTC" derivative transactions. He advises in relation to traditional hedging and trading activities and complex strategic and funding transactions, together with related credit support arrangements. He also has extensive experience of central clearing and other credit risk mitigants.


James Comber, Counsel.
James is in Ashurst's dispute resolution team. His practice is dedicated to advising clients on complex regulatory, financial and commercial disputes.
