TIM STEINERT, GENERAL COUNSEL OF ALIBABA

The HKCCA is pleased to announce the inauguration of our new series of events in which well-known general counsel will share their experience with the lawyers they work with.  Tim Steinert needs no introduction for lawyers in Hong Kong.  Alibaba’s general counsel and corporate secretary, Tim graduated from Yale and then Columbia Law School in 1989, and then moved to Beijing to practice corporate law as an associate at Coudert Brothers. His next position, at Davis Polk, brought him to Hong Kong in 1994. Five years later, Tim was named a partner at Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer, where he focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and IPOs for several years before Jack Ma asked him to work for Alibaba full-time. 

Food and drinks will be provided. 1 Law Society of Hong Kong CPD point has been applied for.  New York and California Approved Jurisdiction policy may apply.
