The HKCCA’s Executive Committee invites you to the following presentation, hosted by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”).

TOPIC:  Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect

Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect marks the first time international investors will be able to directly access China's biggest stock market in Shanghai, and only through HKEx. It's a significant breakthrough in the opening of China's capital market, giving investors a wide range of new investment possibilities.

It provides ultimate opportunity for Hong Kong listed companies as well as the entire finance industry to connect with mainland investors and their robust growing investment market.

In this seminar, senior executives of HKEx shall provide an overview of this Stock Connect program and conclude the seminar with Q&A session.

SPEAKERS:

§   Ms Christine Wong, Chief Counsel and Head, Legal Services, HKEx

Christine Wong joined Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited as Chief Counsel and Head of Legal Services in June 2010.  From 2001 to 2010, she was a Consultant at Linklaters, and before that, a Senior Director of the Corporate Finance Division of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).  Ms Wong was a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel and the Takeovers Appeal Panel of the SFC from October 2005 to June 2010.

§   Mr David Lin, Assistant Vice President, Client Business Development, HKEx

David Lin joined the Client Business Development Department at HKEx in 2014, his main focus is on the development and execution of institutional client relationships.  Previously Mr Lin was a VP in the Institutional Client Group at Deutsche Bank Securities Limited, he was responsible for the bank's electronic trading sales business as well as execution consultancy services for clients in the Greater China region.  Prior to Deutsche Bank, he worked in similar capacity for Credit Suisse Securities Limited.  Mr Lin has also worked for a number of financial institutions in mainland China and the US.

David Lin is a CFA charter holder and has earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
