Half Day Seminar

Half Day Seminar on 14th October, 2015

The HKCCA’s Executive Committee would like to invite you of a half day seminar, hosted by Thomson Reuters.

3 CPD Points have been applied for.   A light breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided.

There is increasing pressure on in-house counsel to do more with less. As we strive to meet the internal demands of our in-house clients for greater efficiency, while delivering even greater value, technology has a role to play. These may be solutions that provide you with ready access to case law, statute and commentary to enable the provision of better legal advice, facilitate more efficient contract preparation and management or streamline e-discovery. The emergence of cloud-based technology solutions is also making it easier for in-house counsel to improve information governance and data retention. Ease of access to technology can even change the way in-house teams interact with their internal clients and external counsel.

This special half day seminar is designed to make you aware of how technology can assist the efficiency of your in-house practice.

The seminar will be delivered in two parts. Firstly, a moderated panel session (with demo of technology solutions) from leading in-house counsel, currently using legal technology solutions in areas such as research, matter management and brand protection to enhance delivery of internal advice, and efficiently manage a wide portfolio of matters more cost-effectively.

Secondly our Keynote speaker will explore the “legal matter life cycle” and how to create best practice solutions to route information to the right people as a matter develops. It will also cover how to pitch expectations from blue-chip companies & CFO and enhance company’s technology while limiting cost.
