HKCCA’s Executive Committee is pleased to invite you to its Half-Day Conference, hosted by Thomson Reuters.

TRANSFORM YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Solving Business Challenges through Technology and New Business Models.

Food and drinks will be provided. The Law Society of Hong Kong CPD has awarded 2.5 CPD points. New York and California Approved Jurisdiction policy may apply.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Today’s legal environments are highly competitive. In-house counsel are expected to have business acumen in addition to legal proficiency, and to provide legal services in a more efficient, cost-effective manner than ever before. In-house counsel need to respond to ever-increasing pressure and demonstrate the value of services provided to the business functions and key stakeholders while containing the costs.

Technological advances are transforming the legal industry at accelerating speeds. From automation to AI and from e-discovery to process management, where once counsel could coast by with limited attention in technology outside their IT department, the lawyers of today are being challenged to master new domains and understand how machines can augment their work – so that they can remain the lawyers of the future. Tomorrow’s lawyers will be those who can not just find the truly useful tools within the mountain of solutions presented by vendors, but use it intelligently to yield the most effective long-term benefits.
