TOPIC:  The “Do’s And Don’ts” of Drafting Arbitration Clauses When Doing Business with Chinese Parties

Doing business with a Chinese party presents unique opportunities and also challenges – this also applies to drafting an arbitration clause in a commercial agreement. During this presentation, speakers will help in-house counsel navigate through the specific factors to consider to ensure the effectiveness and enforceability of an arbitration clause in China. When can a foreign party arbitrate in or outside China? In which situation can a foreign party opt for an arbitral institution or an ad hoc arbitration? What other China-specific requirements must be considered?
