Ai-Leen heads up the firm’s Asia offices and manages its headquarters in Hong Kong, as well as its wholly owned Chinese IP consultancy, AWA IP (Beijing) Co, Ltd. One of AWA Asia’s unique aspects is that its Beijing office is a locally licensed trademark agency and IP consultancy, which files and enforces trademarks in China directly before the Trademark Office and administrative authorities. It is worth noting that the scope of these services is the widest allowed for foreign players in the Chinese market.
Ms Lim advises clients on IP portfolio management in China, Hong Kong and internationally, with a special focus on brand management and social media matters. She is experienced in contentious and non-contentious trademark, design and patent registration, protection and enforcement matters and IP transactions, as well as advertising, consumer law and related regulatory issues in conjunction with market entry and product promotion, particularly in China.
Xiaofan Chen, AWA Asia, Parnter
Xiaofan’s practice concerns patent prosecution, litigation & strategy. Xiaofan advises clients on patent prosecution and litigation, undertaking client counseling work relating to patent rights in China.
His technical fields cover mechanical engineering and manufacturing, laser imaging and printing technology, computer science, internet technology, e-commerce, and business method. In addition to filing applications and securing patents on behalf of large number of international clients before China’s SIPO, Xiaofan also assists domestic applicants in securing their patent rights before certain major patent offices in other jurisdictions.
