The ACC Real Estate Committee and the ACC Financial Services Committee would like to invite ACC Hong Kong members to the following breakfast event.

TOPIC: Practical Advice to Reduce Risks of Trade Secret Litigation

In recent years, dozens of Chinese firms have been the targets of expensive, high-risk US trade secrets litigation.  These lawsuits often seek millions of dollars, and claim that Chinese companies and Chinese individuals have stolen key business secrets, technology, and customer information.  Further, in 2016 the US government passed a new law that allows competitors to bring trade secret suits in US federal courts for the first time.  President Donald Trump also issued an executive order for a US government investigation of alleged Chinese theft of US trade secrets.  This seminar, led by a veteran trade secrets litigator and former US federal prosecutor, offers practical, business-friendly guidance on how can Chinese companies and their employees can navigate this increasingly risky environment and protect themselves, including a “Top Ten” list of action items to reduce risk
