Simon Hawkins, Counsel
Simon heads the firm’s Financial Regulatory Group in Asia and is a member of the firm’s global FinTech Group. His practice focuses on financial regulation (including licensing matters, prime brokerage arrangements, securities dealing, financial market regulations, intermediary and distribution arrangements, product development and structuring) and FinTech (including digital assets and crypto-currencies, robo-advice and payments). Simon also advises on the regulatory aspects of Capital Markets and M&A deals involving financial institutions, and he has particular expertise in structuring and negotiating multi-jurisdictional bancassurance arrangements.
Kieran Donovan, Associate
Kieran is an associate in the Outsourcing and Technology Transactions departmen. He has broad experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border commercial technology, communications matters and Fintech transactions, particularly for clients in the finance, internet, insurance and telecommunications sectors.
With experience in IT and commercial matters, Kieran has particular experience advising clients in the financial sectors on licensing, information security, commercialization and procurement, having advised on a broad range of complex joint ventures, outsourcings and technology development arrangements. He has specialist expertise in the management of regulatory and legal risk involved in commercialising new technologies.
