Richard Wilmot

Partner

Richard is a commercial disputes partner with over 20 years’ experience in Hong Kong. He advises a range of international and regional businesses and institutions typically representing banks, trading companies, commodity buyers, and shipowners.   

He has particular expertise in contracts for the sale and purchase, transportation, and storage of various commodities and, more recently, in relation to the trading of carbon credits. He is often involved in complex cross-border disputes in the Hong Kong courts and at arbitrations around the region.

Andrew Carpenter

Senior Associate

Andrew is a corporate and commercial lawyer who has been based in Hong Kong since 2009, having previously practised in London. 

He is experienced in all areas of corporate and commercial work with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, particularly cross-border transactions, related due diligence, private equity, joint ventures and investment into Asia. He also specialises in advising on complex commercial agreements in a range of industries, including manufacturing, supply chain, technology, healthcare, leisure and entertainment. As part of his corporate practice, he is frequently called upon to advise on related employment matters, including advising on share options and other employee incentive schemes.  

Andrew is qualified as a solicitor in both England and Wales and Hong Kong.
