This seminar will dive into the uncharted territory of legal implications in the rapidly evolving metaverse.

Key points covered include:

  • Defining the metaverse and its various use cases
  • Potential disputes arising out of the Metaverse
  • Application of existing dispute resolution methods
  • Emerging forms of decentralised justice and blockchain arbitration
  • Enforcement issues under the New York Convention

Why In-House Counsel Should Join:

Stay ahead of the curve: Technology giants like Apple and Meta are investing in spatial computing and virtual reality, for example, the Apple Vision Pro or Meta’s upcoming Quest 3. Understanding the legal implications within the burgeoning metaverse landscape is crucial.

Protect your brand: Discuss mechanisms to handle potential infringements within various metaverse worlds.

Reassess your terms of service and other contracts: Consider how to adapt your platform’s terms and conditions, and agreements, to encompass activities in the metaverse.

Tackle international considerations: Explore the implications of the metaverse’s inherent internationality, especially given the global reach of new technology developments. Don’t wait until your company is enmeshed in the metaverse. Join the seminar to learn and discuss how to navigate these new digital landscapes effectively.
