On 28 June 2017, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) hosted a well attended lunch seminar titled "To React Well, Prepare Well.", which aims at increasing awareness of in-house counsels about Hong Kong (HK) regulators’ investigations on financial statements and accounting related matters.  On a no-name basis, PwC Hong Kong Assurance partner Gabriel Chan shared findings from reviews carried out by HKEx, HKICPA and FRC, as well as his experience handling challenging queries from local regulators on hot topics like impairment of assets, adoption of new standards, valuation of financial instruments and share-based payments.  In doing so, Gabriel has also shared various tips with respect to the approach and technique in responding to these types of queries.
